Women Business Owners Event: Figuring Out Fringe Benefits

Fringe benefits are one of the critical components in attracting and retaining good employees. If you are a business owner with employees, or even if you are the sole employee, fringe benefits have a major impact on your business.

Two successful business owners and WBO members, Kathy Albarado, President and CEO at Helios HR, and Betty Arbuckle, financial services professional, Washington Financial Group, will lead us in a discussion of fringe benefits from both an HR and a financial/investment perspective.

Here are a few expected topic areas; Join us for what will surely be a lively and informative session!

• Which fringe benefits are mandatory?

• What fringe benefits are expected to stay competitive in our region and in the tech industry?

• A discussion about some common fringe benefits: PTO, health, life, disability, dental, vision etc insurance, FSA (section 125) plans, flexible work schedules, retirement plans, stock options, training/education, transportation, other?

• What are “tax-advantaged benefits plans” (cafeteria plans)

• What provides the most attractive Cost/Benefit ratio for the business?

• Upcoming legislation pertaining to Fringe Benefits

• Best Practices and Lessons Learned
