Advocacy Committee
The WIT Advocacy Committee is responsible for providing WIT members with information and tools to advocate for themselves and their organizations.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is responsible for developing the messages of WIT, managing media relations, coordinating press/media at events, and developing the WIT brand and image to the general public.
Girls in Technology
The Girls in Technology Committee is responsible for supporting and initiating programs to foster technology interest in elementary, middle and high school girls.
Lunch Bunch Committee
The Lunch Bunch Commitee is responsible for providing WIT members mid-day networking and information sharing sessions with alternating locations in the Tysons Corner, Reston/Herndon and Maryland areas.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is responsible for developing strategies for attracting and welcoming new members, retaining members, and following through with prospective members at the meetings.
Mentorship Committee
The Mentorship Committee is responsible for organizing and overseeing WIT's mentoring program and expanding the program to targeted groups within the local community.
Programs Committee
The Programs Committee is responsible for providing high value networking and educational programs that bring women of metropolitan Washington’s diverse technology community together to expand their relationships and knowledge leading to professional development and a commitment to WIT.
Special Events Committee
Sponsorship Committee
The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for establishing a sponsorship program for WIT; defining the levels of sponsorship associated with the amount of donations; and developing, approaching, and getting both sustaining sponsors and Special Event sponsors for WIT.
Strategic Alliances
The Strategic Alliance Committee is responsible for establishing alliances with strategic partners for WIT, defining the terms of the alliance, and promoting activities between WIT and our strategic partners.
The Web Presence Committee
The Web Presence Committee is responsible for providing the accessibility and communication between committees and WIT members.
Women in Government
The Women in Government Committee is responsible for developing strategies for WIT's Government Outreach as well as developing successful and profitable programs to meet the needs of Women in Government.
Workforce Development
The Workforce Development Committee provides networking and career-oriented programs for WIT members to optimize their careers by learning skills and techniques that build valuable workplace knowledge, make new contacts, and develop relationships.
WITEF Charity Golf Tournament Committee
The Golf Tournament Committee is responsible for planning, organizing and execution of the annual Charity Golf Tournament to raise awareness and funds for the Women in Technology Education Foundation.
